01Why come up

The view

From the summit cross the panorama turns a full 360°: Odle, Sassolungo, Sella, Sciliar, Tofane, Marmolada, and further out the Ortles and the Großglockner. The panoramic board built in 2007 names every one of them.

02Hiking

The walks

Two signed loops, easy, one to one and a half hours, with huts along the way. They start and finish at the top station.

03Our lifts

The ride

Three lifts, 1,150 metres of vertical from the village to the summit: gondola to Furnes, cable car to Seceda, Fermeda chairlift on the alp.

The ascent in section

Two cable sections, one after the other: the long, gentle gondola to Furnes, then the short, steep cable car to the top. The drawing is to scale.

The picture that went round the world

In 2017 Apple used the Seceda ridge as the backdrop for the new iMac at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose. Then came Sony, launching a 4K OLED television. Thousands of people now come up every year for the same photograph.

Frequently asked

01What is the timeslot?
It is the window in which you go up at the Ortisei valley station. It lasts 30 minutes and is valid from 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after. It exists to keep the queue away — once you are up, you stay as long as you like.
02What about coming down?
The descent on an up & down ticket is valid until the lifts close, with no window.
03Do children pay?
Children from 0 to 7.99 years travel free when the ticket is bought together with an adult's. Junior from 8 to 15.99 years. A free ticket still gets its own code.
04Can I bring a dog or a bike?
Yes: €7.00 for a dog, €7.00 for a bike. They take no capacity in the window and are valid all day.
05What if you close for bad weather?
If we close a lift, everyone holding an unused ticket gets an email and chooses between moving the date free of charge or a full refund. With no answer within 7 days we refund automatically.
06Can I change my time?
Yes, free and by yourself: any later window with space, the same day or another day in the season, until your booked window starts. After that, only at the cash desk.
07Do you accept Dolomiti Super Summer?
No. Dolomiti Super Summer cards are not valid on Ortisei–Furnes, Furnes–Seceda and Fermeda.
08And the Gardena Card?
It is sold at the valley station cash desk only, not online.

See you up there.
