The Seceda pistes on a sunny morning

Ski area

Winter

Ski area

The Seceda ski area — with the Seceda-Col Raiser-Rasciesa consortium — is on the sunny side of Val Gardena, in the middle of the Cisles-Odle nature park, part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage.

You ski down from over 2,500 m to Ortisei (1,200 m) and Santa Cristina (1,500 m). The view from the summit takes in the Dolomites and every mountain in South Tyrol, from the Ortles to the Großglockner, out to the Trentino and Lombardy Alps.

Our lifts

Piste quality is our obsession. Across 25 km of runs both strong and less confident skiers are well served, and the Fermeda and Catores chairlift pistes are ideal for snowboarding. After fresh snow the off-piste is a dream — at your own risk.

When evening falls the groomers go out. Eight snow cats (Seceda–Col Raiser–Rasciesa) and 48 snow cannons covering 100 % of the pistes keep the area skiable all winter.

The pistes

La Longia — red, 10.5 km, one of the longest descents in Val Gardena and the Dolomites; it takes you all the way down to Ortisei.

Catores — black, along the double chairlift, finishing with three short steep pitches: a pleasure for experienced skiers.

Curona — blue, an alternative to black run no. 7. Wide and easy to read, this is the ski-school piste.

Fermeda — red, the pearl of the Seceda runs, along the detachable quad chairlift; suitable for less experienced skiers too.

Fermeda – S. Cristina — red/blue, 6 km, down to Santa Cristina and the link to the Sella Ronda. With two lifts (Col Raiser and Fermeda) and several huts along the way it is a run people happily repeat. At the end of the season it hosts the "Gardenissima" race.

Gorgeous mountains

In 2007 a lookout point was built near the summit cross: a 360° view over the Dolomites, the Brenta group, the Ortles and Adamello groups, the Ötztal and Stubai Alps as far as the Großglockner. In winter, with clear air, you see further still.

0508:00 – 24:00

Après Ski Seceda

After a few hours on the pistes, the view and that last long descent to Ortisei, the Après Ski Seceda is waiting at the valley station.

Open daily 08:00–24:00: beer, local grappa, bombardino, hot and cold dishes, evenings with a DJ or live band, free Wi-Fi.

Ski rental and depot

At the valley station there is a large ski shop and rental: sales, hire, repairs and everything a skier needs.
